Where fertilization takes place in human female?
In human female reproductive system, fertilization typically takes place in the fallopian tube. The fallopian tubes are two thin tubes that extend from the ovaries to the uterus. They serve as the pathway for the egg to travel from the ovary to the uterus.
During ovulation, a mature egg is released from the ovary and travels into the fallopian tube. If the egg is fertilized by a sperm, the fertilization occurs in the fallopian tube. The fertilized egg, now called a zygote, then begins to divide and eventually becomes an embryo. The embryo then travels to the uterus and implants itself into the lining, where it continues to develop.
