Steps to start driving a manual car
Start the car: Insert the key and turn it to the "on" position. Press the clutch pedal to the floor with your left foot and shift the gearstick into first gear.
Move the car: Slowly release the handbrake and release the clutch pedal while gently pressing the accelerator pedal with your right foot. The car should start to move forward.
Change gears: As you gain speed, you'll need to shift gears. Press the clutch pedal to the floor again, move the gearstick to the next gear, and then release the clutch pedal while giving the car a bit more gas.
Use the clutch and gears to slow down: As you approach a stop or a slower speed, press the clutch pedal to the floor, shift into a lower gear, and release the clutch pedal while lightly pressing the brake pedal.
Repeat the process: Keep repeating these steps as you drive. Remember to always pay attention to the road and traffic around you, and obey all traffic laws.
Practice, practice, practice: Driving a manual car takes practice, so don't be discouraged if you stall or struggle at first. With time and practice, you'll get the hang of it.
